Welcome to Mrs. Downs Class Page!!
Homeroom, Grade 8:

ALL PARENTS AND STUDENTS:
I can be reached by e-mail at kristin.downs@broadfording.com.

I am a part-time teacher, full-time homeschooling Mom, so I am not as easy to reach on campus as other teachers. I check my e-mail several times per day, and try to check it at least once per evening. That is the best way to reach me.

I have added wire "cubbies" to my room and each student in grade 8 has one as a sort of "in-room locker" since they spend so much time in this room. They can keep their books and notebooks for my classes and Mr. Wyand's math class in there. I am also encouraging them to get a pencil box or something like that to keep in there so that they are not without pencils and other supplies. I have "lost" a great deal of my own supplies because students "borrow" a pencil or pen and do not return them. ALSO: I have lost several textbooks the same way. Please look around your home and cars for Literature books and Geography books.

Please remember my new "Work Not In" policy. It was sent home on Friday, 12/11 , and everyone has returned it signed, so I am certain all of you have received it. (Grade 8) I plan to stick to it perfectly! Students were reminded of it as soon as they returned from Christmas break. A choice NOT to do homework is a choice to fail. It is the student's choice.
